Food Security Infrastructure Grants and Bridge Loans
The state of Massachusetts launched a grant program to support food security infrastructure in the Commonwealth to respond to the health crisis.
The program is reimbursement-based, so awardees will need to pay in advance for their project before receiving funds. Some grantees could qualify for a bridge loan from the Massachusetts Food Trust Program (MFTP), so that they can access funding to complete their infrastructure project before receiving reimbursement through the Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program.
Please contact us if you have been awarded Food Security Infrastructure Grant Program and would be interested in bridge loan financing.
Responding to COVID-19
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, the MFTP team has worked to adapt aspects of our program to better serve the needs of small businesses, grocery stores, farmers markets, and other business entities providing healthy food to local communities.
